Covid Update - Important News Pertaining to Sunday Worship

31 July, 2020

Dear Church Family,

Thank you for continuing to hold the ministry team and church council in your prayers.

We have been following the current situation as the COVID risk has increased wit there now being some community transmission in Brisbane.

To the best of our knowledge it is mostly south side but we do not want to take risks and there is much uncertainty and no guarantees at this point.

The Church Council Executive has met this afternoon and considered the desire to meet as a church family and the unknown but increased risk.

As a result the Executive has decided that worship WILL go ahead at 8am and at 9.30am.

However communion WILL NOT be offered this Sunday, also morning tea WILL NOT be offered or provided.

The Executive felt that morning tea and communion gave an increased risk that we do not want to take.

People are also being asked to move off promptly and not to linger or chat around the church.

Also we want to remind everyone of our key messaging around the COVID situation.

1. Our health comes first. If you are feeling unwell please get tested and stay home. If you are over 70 or a vulnerable person consider staying home.

2. Practice physical distancing and good hygiene.

3. Be prepared. Take care of those you love and care about.

4. Give electronically.

5. Help out where you can.

For those who are coming to worship we look forward to seeing you.

For others we hope that you will take the time to follow us on our app or on our youtube page.

Please do continue to stay in touch and pray for each other.

Brian

Important Update about Worship 9th July 2020

Restrictions have eased around me of our requirements for worship.

Firstly if you don't have to register you just have to show up but we still need to collect an attendance in case of a confirmed case. Welcomers will be on hand to confirm your attendance. We do need to keep that record.

Distancing rules have changed so we believe we can seat everyone in the auditorium (church). Welcomers will direct you.

The rules around keeping 1.5m apart and personal hygiene (using sanitiser, coughing into elbow etc) still apply. (Members from the same household do not have to keep 1.5m apart )

If you are unwell stay home.

If you are in the vulnerable category you should consider using the online options but you are allowed to come if you are careful.

You are allowed to chat and mingle before and after the service but should maintain the 1.5m.

Chairs have been set up for singles and couples. Other chairs maybe moved to accommodate people from the same household. Only people from the same household may sit together.

Cleaning rules still apply and help is appreciated.
