Your highs and lows

What great things have you seen or noticed God do this week?

Psalm 103:8 – 18

Psalm 145:18

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Prayer is not just talking to God, but talking with God. Just like when we talk to our friends, when we talk to God, we don’t just tell Him what is on your mind, but we stop and listen to what He has to say to us too. When we pray this way, we can have a deeper and better relationship with him.

·        What does 1 Thessalonians 5:17 say about prayer?

Prayer is meant to be a joy and a pleasure, not a task or last resort.

·        When should you pray?

If you find that you don’t have enough time in your day to pray, change something around to make prayer the first thing you do. Remember, your prayers don’t have to be long, or full of fancy words, it just has to be you and God talking like you would to a friend.

As we pray more we learn about God and we will develop a deeper love for him.

Pray to God, praising and thanking him for the things in your life. You could use this prayer as a starting point.

Lord God,

You are great and Wonderful and you made the whole wide world!

You are kind and good, marvellous and mighty, ever living, ever loving, everlasting, everywhere.

O Lord God, how great you are!

When I look at the sky and the moon and the stars, I feel very tiny and I don’t understand why you care about me.

O Lord God, how great you are!

May God Bless you as you praise him and pray to him everyday

Praise the Lord Every Day
