Dads are special people. They can be crazy, playful, and a bit demanding and sometimes they can do things that are completely over the top.

·        What did Jacob do to show he loved his son Joseph? What effect did this have on the rest of his family? (gave him a special coat, made them jealous)

·        What did Solomon do out of love for his son? (wrote him a whole book)

·        Why do you think dads go over the top sometimes?

At the end of the day, all Dads want the best for their kids and they do have a lot to teach you. They were kids once, and they have insights into growing up. They also have lessons to share about work, family, God, and life in general. They love us, and there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for us.

·        Name some things that your Father has done for you?

·        What did God do to show his love for us, his children?

God showed us the ultimate example when he sent his Son to die for our sins.

Thank God for your father, and ask that God will use him to teach you how to be people who live our lives for God. You may like to use this prayer as a start

Thank you for Fathers, and thank you God for being our heavenly father. We pray that you will be a guide to our dads as they strive to guide us in how to live for you.

May God the Father prepare your journey, guide your footsteps, watch over you and bless you on every road that you will travel.

Good, Good Father

This is Amazing Grace
